History and architecture
The temple was built under the patronage of the Malu family, one of Sardarshahar's old merchant families (town records name Seth Mulchand Malu), and inaugurated on 13 February 2005. Most temples in the Shekhawati–Thar belt follow north Indian styles. Ichhapuran Balaji was built in the South Indian Dravidian style, which makes it stand out on the desert skyline. The outer walls carry carvings and sculpture, and the inner sanctum presents Balaji as if in a royal court.

Darshan timings and the best time to go
The temple is generally open every day from about 6 am to 9 pm. For a quieter darshan, go on a weekday morning. On Tuesdays and Saturdays, Balaji's special days, and above all on Hanuman Jayanti, expect queues and a festive crowd.
Climate matters here. From April to June, afternoons in the Churu region regularly pass 40 °C, so plan darshan for early morning or after sunset. From October to March, any time of day is comfortable.
