Two ways from Sikar to Ratangarh
The first half, Jaipur to Sikar, is straightforward. After Sikar, navigation apps suggest one of two lines depending on traffic:
- Via Fatehpur, along the older Jaipur–Bikaner highway alignment, into Ratangarh.
- Via Salasar, joining SH-7 near Salasar and running north through Ratangarh. This line lets you add darshan at Salasar Balaji, about 73 km before Sardarshahar.
Both meet at Ratangarh. From there SH-7 runs about 48 km north to Sardarshahar. Ichhapuran Balaji Mandir and Jay Mahal Hotel & Resort are on the Ratangarh side of town, so you reach them before the town centre.

By train or bus
There is no direct train from Jaipur to Sardarshahar. The usual plan is a train from Jaipur to Ratangarh Junction or Churu, then a taxi or bus for the last stretch (about 48 km from Ratangarh, 55 km from Churu). Sardarshahar has its own station on the Ratangarh line, with local DEMU services. Check current timings on NTES or IRCTC.
RSRTC runs buses from Jaipur towards Churu district. Ask at Sindhi Camp bus stand for the current Sardarshahar or Ratangarh departures.
Tips for the drive
- Leave Jaipur early to get through city traffic before it builds up.
- Sikar is the best halfway break for fuel and food.
- For a pilgrimage trip, plan darshan at Salasar Balaji on the way and Ichhapuran Balaji the next morning.
- From April to June, avoid driving between noon and 4 pm.
